The Quest to Find the Best Utah Italian Restaurant

Italian food is my favorite. I crave it all the time and I'm always in search of new and inventive dishes. I have had my fair share of Olive Garden. They can be good at times, but they remain the beginner course of Italian food. I prefer to fill my plate with more adventurous options.

Out of all the places I've visited, I had the best time at Gabor Bros Main St. Grill in Layton, Utah. Their pizza and spaghetti were exceptional and I make it a point to tell everyone that they're the best Italian restaurant in the state. I've been meaning to reach out to them to get a better understanding of what their establishment is all about. I haven't been there for awhile and that's something that needs to change.

I don't want my fondness towards Gabor Bros to get in the way of my consideration of other Utah Italian restaurants. Due to budgetary issues in my life, I have not had as much time to experience what Utah has to offer in terms of Italian cuisine.

I am aware that these articles about Utah places might not be interesting for people living outside the state. I have no intention of limiting my food reviewing ambitions to the area around me. I want to branch out and have the opportunity to take this show on the road. I'm not sure how I will make that dream a reality though.

I plan to contact every Italian restaurant in the state of Utah and asking them if they would be willing to have me come in and write a review about them. I will incorporate restaurants that are too far away for me to visit for the simple fact that they deserve to be included in the discussion. Perhaps one day I'll be able to travel to all of them. Until then, I will do my best to get as comprehensive of a list as possible.

I will never have a specific criteria for how I will evaluate restaurants. I make no claims to have credentials that would put me into the upper echelon of food critics. I am a guy who likes to eat and has high standards. I don't think you need anything else.
